Some of the most recent news in San Diego County is all the fires that have been happening. In total there were aroung 13 major fires raging all throughout the San Diego County are. The major spots that the fire burned through were Fallbrok, Rancho Bernardo, Ramona, Rancho Sante Fe, Escondido and Valley Center. A quater of a million people were evacuated during these fires. In total 10 people perished in the fire. One of the people who died was a teacher, Mrs. Fox, who taught at the middle school that Taylor and I went to. She was a teacher who was greatly loved and will be missed by many. Both Mrs. Fox an her husband died in the fires. In total aroung 1,800 homes were burned down in the fires. Thankfully almost all of the fires are now contained. These fires were said to be worse than the Ceder Fires in 2003.
